Oooh, look what I made!

We pay $1.50 for onigiri at the Mom and Pop stores. I had to learn to make it myself to cut costs.
This is the magical stuff.
I got me a onigiri shaper at the $1.50 store. You slip in some strips of Nori, hot rice, and sprinkle some magic...
Press...
and, viola! Ok, so not the prettiest, but these were my first ones EVA. They tasted pretty good, and the next batch I put turkey meatballs in the center to make them meals. YUMMO!

Well, I'm excited. John's looking into work in Okinawa. He'd love to go there. Cross your fingers and say a prayer for us because I'd love to get off this rock. The kids are doing good, John is on a minivacation, and I'm working my tush off... what's new, eh? Love you!

Where does the time go?

Man, Christmas is right around the corner. I am going to be on the ball this year, for REAL. Tis the season to pull out your hair if you wait til the last minute. Didn't bring my camera to take pictures of last weekends games. John had duty so I had my hands full with the little ones. It's hard to take pictures and save Mia from herself at the same time. John's home this weekend so I'll take some then. Here's a few pictures from the last few days.
Mia's Daddy dresses her funny. Don't look at those boxes behind her. I'll take them to Salvation Army eventually!
The Musings of a 1st Grader.
I made Gyoza!
Love you guys!!!

Like I need a new hobby.

Tiffany is so spoiled.
Another surprise plant. Grew a couple other bulbs I found and they turned out to be this interesting thing. Kinda ugly, but a pretty color.
Odd, huh? What is, Mom?? At least it's something to look at besides our peeling paint on the house, no?
Gardening. I'm having fun finding little sprouts and bulbs, planting them, and seeing what turns out. So far, birds of paradise and that ugly thing up there. Let's see how long this lasts. First games of the fall season starts this weekend. Indoor for the women, and Tiff and JB have their youth league games.

Sweet 16

Tiff turned 16 yesterday. She's an old fart!
Daddy's big girl.
Little ones patiently waiting for cake.
Tiff chose to spend her special day with her family. What a sweetie. She didn't ask a for a huge shindig with all her pals. She wanted to hang out with her loved ones.

It's Picture Time!

Papa and Mia.
Auntie Amy with the new baby Camryn.
Mia in her new Nemo bathing suit.
Cutie!
John and Mia at Alupang Beach Towers looking at the water (Camryn's Christianing party).
Kiaya looking for fish.
*GASP* Mia and Frances' little girl caught in the same dress.

We had a busy weekend. Saturday was Camryn's Christianing party and Sunday was Tiff's 16th birthday barbeque. Lost of food! I need to run a marathon to burn it all off. Dot and Asia joined us for both days. It was wonderful to see them, and see Dot smile and enjoy being away from home. She says it's hard to sit in the house with all of the memories. She's doing ok and is hoping to get hired at the Navy MWR. I pray she gets the job so she can have something to keep her busy. We are still down to one car, but making it work. Wish us luck finding a way to fix it without spending more than it's worth!
