What happens when you don't feed your kids on time?

They feed themselves, of course.

While Mom was resting her lazy butt on the couch instead of cooking, JB pulled some leftover chicken out of the fridge to share with his sissy:
Mia had dessert WITH dinner. Check the cutest little zories ever!
I'd say "Thank God it's Friday", but my weekend is going to be super busy. We have 2 teams coming from the Phippines to play our U16 and U12 girls. 1/2 of Sunday, plus Monday and Tuesday evening I'll be coaching the Guam teams and scouting for U13 girls for the national pool. Yay. I'm resting now for what is going to be one very stressful weekend. Thank goodness John is going to be home.

Tiff is still in Japan. John had today off, and with Monday off as well, he's having himself a little mini-vaca'. Well deserved, I say. JB and Mia are just going to be chillin' with him so they are going to be real happy campers eating cereal and cookies all day long! Shower?! What is that?! Brush teeth?? How do you do that again? I don't care. As long as everyone is fed and happy while I'm working the 2nd job.

Love and miss you all,

Thank you!

MnM: Thank you for the ecard and birthday wishes! I wish you both were near to help me celebrate my blessed life.
Woodburns: Are you sure you aren't ABBA or Earth Wind and Fire in disguise?! What a lovely rendition of "Happy Birthday", especially with Scruffy doing back up to the back up to the back up-- remember than Bala? Thank you. It put a huge smile on my face and made me snicker.
George: Enjoyed our chat. I talked my two 1/2 marathon/Kontendas buddies, Kyung and her coworker Chris, into another 1/2 at the end of the year as I was so motivated by your plans to move on to a full. I tried to talk them into a full marathon but they both said "hell no!"... well, Kyung doesn't cuss so she said "no way!". Love you, brother, and I'm so proud of your new, healthy hobby!
Anicia: Yay for moving to VA! I like that all my family is getting closer and closer together. It'll be easier once we out there for visits. I wish I could be there to help you out, but I'm sure George will be a huge help. Just don't let him drive anywhere near a fire hydrant, ha! Just kidding, George. We laugh because GWA didn't send us a $3000.00 waterbill, k? I haven't heard more of "the plans"! What's up? I'm trying to lose weight just in case I need to wear a maid of honor dress-- no pressure, hehe.
I love you all. I'm never home, I'm never near my phone when it rings, I don't call back when I say I will because of the first two issues I'm having, but I do think of you and miss you tons. I'm 36 years old. I'm ok with that, especially since I've had my hair colored to cover the ultimate giveaway for my age. I can still outsprint some of the young kids, and I am alive and loved. I had a great birthday.
Love and miss you all buuuuuulalalalaaaaaaaa.

John loves me!

John couldn't wait til tomorrow to give me my birthday presents. You know, I always think that when I'm complaining to him about this and that, he's kinda 1/2 listening, but here's proof that he's all ears for me:

For the bum knee I'm always crying about.

For the crazy, frizzy, can't do anthing to hair that I'm always moaning and groaning about.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEEE!

Love you guys,

The Birthday Grel

Today's Top 5

5. I got my greys covered and my hair styled straight with a flatiron. John likes the 'do so my birthday present will likely be a flatiron, on top of the haircolor. Thanks, John!

4. Our groceries did not include any items for the kids that had red dye #40, which studies have shown to cause hyperactivity in children. JB and Mia do NOT need help in the energy department. They can light up all of Guam on their own.

3. We had no soccer obligations today, which is a nice change from daily soccer for the last 3 months. Finally, we were able to spend more than 6 hours of daylight at home this weekend.

2. John was home for the ENTIRE weekend! It kind of threw me off. Having him home on a Saturday made that day feel like a Sunday, which made the weekend feel shorter than usual.

1. Tiffany and her school soccer team got on the plane safely for their Far East Soccer Tourney!

Random pics of the day:
No more grey and nappy hair!
JB is so proud of his dishwashing skills.

Love and miss you all!

Guess who's a super star!

Tiffany was voted by coaches of this year's highchool soccer teams as a defender for the All Island 1st team! I'm so proud of her, mostly because she enjoys the centermid position much more, but she played her best when she was asked to play defense. For her PERSONAL sacrifice, she was rewarded for her TEAM effort.

Bummed about bum knee.

I found out from the doc today that I have very little cartilage left in my right knee from overuse. Either I slow down to low impact forms of exercise for a while, or I go the full mile and deal with the consequences after the 2009 Masters' Games. I've chosen the latter. I just need to treat it after each workout and/or game with ibuprofen, rest, ice, compression, and elevation-- R.I.C.E.! I preach it, but now I have to practice it. Stinks to be falling apart.

SUNUVAGUN!

How do you have a perfect regular season and then end up in 4th place in the playoffs? Yep, that's what my team did. I'm disappointed, sad, and just not happy. I love my new team though and will continue to leave on the field for them.

Tiff's Junior Prom Night

The getup:
The date, Justin. (he's a good boy):
The cuteness:
The theme was "Mardi Gras" so they had masks to wear:
Her dear friend, and soccer teammate, Jessica:
Her oldest friend, Raquel, Jessica, and Tiff and her date were prince and princess, hence the tiara:
Her with teammates, Breana and Jazzy:
More soccer girls. Christina, Jazzy, Breana, and that girl-- Tiffany!
Friends!
Tiff with Jessica and Christina.

Tiffany had a great time and she looked very pretty. She picked out her dress all by herself and I thought it was very tasteful and the color matched her skintone very well. Her date was able to get a bow tie in the same color from the place where she got her dress! They did a very good job fitting her dress to her frame. Pretty busy weekend again, but I will take some new pictures of JB and Mia real soon for you.
Love you all,
