HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Happy Father's Day to you, Mike, Joe, George, and Gary (if you happen to be looking over Anicia's shoulder). I hope you had a fantastic day. George, I know your heart is with your boy today more than ever. I'm positive his is with you as well. Don't be sad. Just think of what a wonderful guy he's turning out to be, and you're a part of that. Love you, Brother.

Here's what Team Camacho was up to on John's big day. Mama won some free passes to Tarza Waterpark for her hard work running last weekend's 5k at a disappointing 27:25. Go ahead, George, laugh all you want. I know you want to, but I won raffle prizes... again, hee heee ha haaaa!

The camera was revived yet again for another photo shoot. The thing is amazing. It seems to KNOW it's needed and continues to hang on. I think when it's finally dead, I will have a little ceremony for it. It's been good to us.

Witness the love for their father in their expressions-- especially the little kids. Mia enjoying the floating device called a "Tiffany".
The boys.
Mia looking to hitch a ride.

Mom's turn to wrestle the kids into a sitting and smiling photo.

The dudus ones.

Mia was intially a little hesitant, but loved every moment of it.

Tonight is another pool party. With three days of water fun, at least one of the children should know how to swim. We can only hope.

Love and miss you all very much,

Team Camacho

Eeked out a couple more pics

Hafa adai, folks. Doing good. School's out so the kids are enjoying summer fun, like poolside bbq's at the Brodies and a day at Tarza, thanks to me winng free tickets, ha ha, George! You know, I because I always win, right, Brother? Tiff's looking for work for the summer and JB is at his favorite jiu jitsu camp. He says he like it more this year as long as they don't do cartwheels. He says they're hard. I agree!

I squeezed a couple shots out of the dying camera:
Bonita Mia with a flower in her hair. She loves to be "Pitty".

JB brough Mia out to the LR when she woke up. So sweet, but I think she's heavier than him!
Love you guys,

Blanda and the gang

Potluck Dishes Express

I love it when John brags about my yummy, complicated dishes, and I love it even more when he offers have me make them for his cronies on a weeknight! I've been at it for the past 2 hours, but I have noone to blame but myself. I'm a sucker for ooh's and ahh's.
George: What do you think these goodies are?
Fill:

Roll:
Slice:Yum. It's your favorite, fresh lumpia. When I get out there, we will scour your local "oriental" market for the ingredients and I will make you some of these puppies for old time's sake. Please excuse the crappy photos. The camera was revived, but is in the throes of death spewing out these weird blue shadowings and webcam quality captures.
More later. Must.roll.more.lumpia.
Love,
Blanda and the ganx

A Tragedy

Did I spell "tragedy" right? Anyway, my camera bit the dust. This makes me so sad because I don't want the kids to grow an inch, or crack a smile without the ability to document it all for you all in "America". I'm hoping I can remedy this with an upcoming paycheck. In the meantime, the kids will be forced to stunt their growth and not have fun so you won't miss a thing.

5 things that made me smile today:
  1. Mia did not put up a fight this morning during daycare dropoff. No shoving of other kids, clinging to my legs, or bum rushing anyone who opens the gate to get through and out the front door.
  2. JB asked for a hug just because he needed one.
  3. Tiff went running ON HER OWN today. I normally have to harrass into any physical activity that doesn't include a ball.
  4. I got a nap!
  5. Both the little ones fell asleep on their own without the nightly fussing and demands.

5 things that made me say bad words:
  1. I forgot Mia's schoolbag at home, so I had to run to the minimart to get her lunch and I ended up late for work, when I would have been 15 minutes early had I been on the ball.
  2. I was so tired when JB and I got home today that I did NOTHING to improve our living space. I slept instead.
  3. Our power bill is $333!!! What the spaghetti??
  4. I fell during my evening run with my Kontenda's gang on ROUTE 1, and I'm sure everyone I have ever known was passing by me at that very moment in their car. Did I fall on my face or butt? No... I fell and hit my kneecap on my dang bum knee square and now I'm back to gimping. How am I going to win the war?
  5. I am up 5 dang pounds. UGH.
The captain of Team Camacho is being tested. I hope I passed.

Here We Go Again

Mia is running a low grade fever. She's not acting sick, sick, but is a little bit cranky. I can't take her daycare until I find out what's wrong, so I'm missing work again. I'm going to take advantage of this time at home and be productive.

Things to do:
Fold the rest of the clothes.
Clean out baker's rack.
Go through Mia's clothes.
Clean the kitchen, since it looks like a typhoon hit it after I've just finished cooking up a storm out of boredom.

Ok, let's see if I can even get ONE item done.

This Week's Top 5

5. My right knee finally feels normal and I no longer use it as just a kickstand. Yay for rest, ibuprofen, and beer!

4. Tiffany got an award at the 2nd semester sports banquet for "Most Dedicated" player for her soccer team.

3. Mia has not used her food this week for facials! The girl normally needs a bath after her evening meals.

2. JB is out for the summer and he is officially a 1st grade graduate. 2nd grade, here comes John Bradley!!

1. Since Kontenda's does not start their summer camp until June 9th, Chuck has suggested I do 1/2 days so JB does not destroy his office out of sheer boredom, yippy! What do I have planned?? Some serious Summer cleaning.

Now, my top 5 bummers since this week surely had it's fill.

5. No summer camp for my boy for a week, so Mr. Active will be holed up with me at the office for 4 hours, each day of the week. Lord help me and my boss!

4. We've had so many graduation and soccer functions where the food has been irresistable and a little on the "heavy" side, so I've gained 3 ding dang pounds. What the spaghetti?! How am I going to win the war and fit into a maid of honor dress if the enemies are my good friends?!

3. Mia thinks she does not need sleep and Iron Man is responsible for every bad thing that happens to her. If she bumps her shins, "Owie, Iron Man!". If JB makes her mad, "No, no, Iron Man, Iron Man!". What in the world? She even makes us put the little ice pack mask on her face so she can BE Iron Man. Really... she makes us go "Huh?". She's been running around grouchy from no naps and hollering in anger at Iron Man. I can't take it anymore.

2. I gained 3 pounds. Sunuvagun!

1. My best friend is in an awful position with her ex-husband. One that brings me to tears in fear of the future of her boys' mental and emotional states. Pray hard that her ex-husband remembers how much him and his boys love each other, and how much they need him now and forever so that he will have a change of heart and choose a path that will lead him to better mental health. We all only want him to be a better man and father to his children. If he can do that, all else will fall in place for him.

That's how we're rolling. Random picture of the day:
I gave Mia a little haircut because her whispy long hairs were nuts and making her look like noone takes care of her:

Isn't it cute!? It makes her look naughtier, if that's possible, ha!
