Poor Mom.

She's got this monkey on her back. Mia just climbed right up on Gramma's back and went right to sleep.
There'll all over the place! Poor Gramma's being attacked by monkeys. That's what she gets for feeding them so well.

Yuuuummmm...

Mom found a little piece of Heaven in Barrigada called Bemyore Market. That's where she found this tasty treat,

Sea Cucumbers. Yuuuummm... she was so excited!
Slurp! Delish'!
'Tis the season. John and Tiff picked these from a tree next to Apra Minimart.
John wanted me to show off his pickling skills. He did this all by himself.

Gramma is here!

We have been sick in this house so it took a while to get motivated about taking pictures, but here is what Mom's brand spanking new camera has so far.

Mia and Gramma having a loving moment the night of her arrival. That's my rumpled tshirt, not my gut, k?Three generations of Palau Power. The three of us on our way to Tiff's Senior Banquet.
Tiff and Gramma. George, notice the resemblance?
Tiff loves Gramma's camera and took this fancy picture of her Senior Banquet program. Looky! It's her name, and she even has the grades to back it up. Woo hoo!

We are enjoying Gramma's visit. Her and Mia having been spending a lot of time together eating apples and watching cartoons. Mia is learning to speak Palauan from Gramma. She has recently learned Uncle George's favorite word. I will try to capture this word on Gramma's lovely new camera (trying to figure it out before Tiff's big day!) for all of you to enjoy.

Since her arrival, we have learned that John really does have high blood pressure, and food can taste good even if it doesn't have meat in it! Mom's had a couple reunions with and old friend, and a cashier from one of the minimarts she shopped at. It's a social event running around with Gramma! I need to comb my hair and wear tshirts with fewer stains when I run around with her.

Seeing her makes me miss you all!

Bala, it was so nice talking to you and Joseph. I wish I could watch Joseph on his big day. Please tell him we are with him in his own heart, ok? Don't forget to send me pictures of the event!!!

More to come. We have a KFC commercial filming this afternoon and Gramma and the little ones get to eat some deep fried yums for free (I'll remind Mom not to eat the skin, k?). If they end up in the commercial, I'll hopefully be able to send you a copy.

Love to all,

Team Camacho + Gramma

Look out, Tiger Woods!

Our good friends, the Bambas, invited us to celebrate their son, Joshua, on his 7th birthday at this cute little mini-golf place.

Here's JB on stroke 2.
Of course, if JB's doing something, Mia's gotta try.
It's more fun to see who can get their ball in first, of course. It's all about "first".JB scoring a... not sure what you call it, but he got the ball in the hole.
Mia using the sweep technique. Hmmm... Mama's shadow needs to go on a diet, no?
Mia using the metal detector technique.
I think she was using the Palauan Stinkeye for this shot. She was making the ball feel guilty so it'll dive into the hole by itself.
Oh, I don't know. She's really such a pretty girl. Why can't she just say cheese like everyone else?!
This was really cool. It took two guys 7 years to build the mini-golf course. Each hole was a state or a country.
Mia was fascinated by the statues.
Yeah, these are our kids. They're not that bad, really.

We had a ton of fun. It was near 95 degrees outside, but the kids did NOT care. The parents were sporting sweat rings and racoon eyes from running mascara, but we could not stop for a second. The kids were going buck-wild.

I love kids' parties. They're so much more fun than adult ones.

Randomness

The little ones watching Tiff play with Gramma Soup.
She's really cute when you wipe away the snot and comb her hair. Really.
He just got his hair cut so he is actually loved and cared for.
Tiff and Guam High actually made it to the championship round of high school soccer. They ended up trying for 3rd. They lost 3-2 to Harvest "Christian" (Christian is in quotes because the parents and fans of the HCA team were not exhibiting "Christian" like behavior) Academy, but they fought the good fight with grace and good sportsmanship... even the parents were good sports... unlike HCA parents.

I'm so glad it's all done. Time for some calm in this house.

School pics and cook books have been sent out. Check your mailboxes.

Love,
Team Camacho

The Finish Line Is In Sight!

The senior pictures.
Tonight she's driving herself to the prom, where her and her "girls" will be going stag.
She didn't have a lotof hair to work with, but I thought this was pretty cute.
She found this dress design and found an inexpensive seamstress to sew it for her.
I can't believe it. The last milestone in this house for her will be her highschool graduation. It's just crazy.
