One, Two, Three, Strykers!

Tiff looking fierce!
Me looking constipated.
We finished in 4th place with the best players on island on our team. What's up with that? We even have Aubrey Posadas who's like the most athletic Guamanian, period. I'm pretty excited about playing on the Old Folk's team next year. We had our first practice and water break for some of us was after the warm up, hahaha!

You can pick your friends...

...and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your family, and family is 4EVA, looney, funny looking ones and all. So, you can't get rid of us, haha!

Only my girl that I expect to be my girly dancer would be impressed with Superheros. This is how she wears JB's handmedown slippers.
Yes, this is your grandaughter, neice, and cousin. She is pretty bright even if she is really goofy!
JB has an allergy to shirts these days and Mia dresses funny... but don't tell her. She thinks she's all that and a bag of Doritos.

It was a long, but productive weekend. Tiff and I dug out the house from under a pile of mess and we now have more than underwear and socks to wear to school and work this week. JB is finally getting over his cough, and Mia finally took a bath. John found through USAJobs that there is an opening for the very job he just finished filling in for up at Andersen. Blessing? How funny that such a rare opening should become available at the most opportune time for Team Camacho. Please pray that the powers that be recognize John's name AND the hard work he put in during his "probation" period. This would get us caught up and set for a move to "America". That is STILL the ultimate goal. We want to be near you. I have not recovered from you all leaving and I feel that it is our family's destiny to spend a large part of the rest of our lives with you. How mushy, gushy is that? Love you all!

Soccer Jamboree 2007

Poor JB couldn't play in the Jamboree, but he did enjoy the food and hanging out with his friends.
Mia reinvented the Tshirt.
Mia's buddy for the day, Conner!
Conner wanted to put his arm around her to pose.
She finally realized he wasn't trying to tackle her and relaxed to say "Cheese!".
Mia and JB sharing some sugar from the two pounds of frosting on top of the cupcakes.
It was a nasty, dreary day. It started raining when we got to the Harmon Soccerfield at 8:30am and it was STILL raining, meaning it never stopped, when we left around 3:30pm. We arrived early to get good parking, but also to help the club organizers with readying the tent and the food tables. The benefit of getting there early was getting to snack on some great spam masubis made by Conner's Mom, and getting fabulous Stryker tshirts to wear when we watch the kids play. We mostly lounged under the tent, ate, lounged, ate somemore, watched the U6 team play, and just enjoyed the company of the rest of the Stryker family. Tiff and JB will continue to play with the club, but I will be moving on to the women's masters team next year. This is the first time I've enjoyed any one club as I was very comfortable hauling all the kids around with the rest of the moms and dads supporting their multiple Stryker children from morning til late afternoon. The gatherings we were invited to off the field were much fun and I look forward to many more next year. I'm so glad I made the move to this team I hope this club sticks around for a long time.
