The Word Family is Inclusive

Family is, of course, your blood kin, your Mom, Dad, Sis, Bro, Grams and Gramps, cousins and such...

The sissies. Tiffany is Mia's sanctuary, her go-to-Camacho, and love focus. These two together make my heart melt.
Oh, man, she's just so mungi in this pictures!! I want to bite her cheeks and gather her up into a little ball on my lap. We're still trying to figure out where she gets her big head and ching ching eyes, but we'll keep her even if she isn't really ours, haha!
Oh, this boy is too sweet for my tooth. He said to me "Mom, I'm so handsome... just like you". Uh, thanks, kid.
We just celebrated another anniversary. He's the coolest thing to ever happen to me. I don't know how he puts up with me, but I'm glad he does. I'm blessed to have him in my life.
Mia loves to cuddle with Mama (with a million of her "babies") and sing commercials.

...but, family can also be the people in your lives that you share good times with doing the things you love together. For Team Camacho, it's our soccer family. We play together, work together, train together, celebrate victories, share disappointments, and in the end, we wind down at the end of the week with our Sunday Soccer Potluck.

I spend Saturday mornings with these ladies running 5k's.
Cheri, Rhoda, and our kiddies kickin' it, eating awesome Sunday Potluck food.
The masters of the pit doing their magic. They even look magic with the crazy lighting going on.
Ags and Cheri listening to George Stewart talking story. I think Tiff heard enough, ha!
Some of the the "younger" masters, learning the tricks of the trade from Carlos, which for him are half time cigs and beer to have a faster, more better 2nd 1/2.
Whoa, I look all ethereal! George Stewart, the master of story. See! We're called masters for a reason. I'd be the master of tripping over my own feet and running into goalposts if you asked Steve Grantham.
Susan (One of the Rechebong twins! She always speaks Palauan to me and sometimes I just nod my head or smile to pretend I know what she's saying, hee hee!) and Cheri chillin'.
Ahhhhhh... Really, this is the life. Family, friends, football, and food.
Carlos showing us he has skills off the field too! Check out that pancho.
Rhoda with her little Joshua and husband Leon in the background.
That's what the last week's been like for us. We do so much with soccer, and I sometimes complain about how much of our family's life is filled with it, but there are bonuses like making such cool friends. It makes the working part so much easier to deal with. With the many fundraisers we're doing the next year, we'll be one huge, mostly happy family for the duration, with plenty of memories to share. Woodburns, you are missed by all the familiar faces in these potluck pictures. Especially by the Camachos.
Love you all,
Team Camacho

She's the jam in my jellyroll!

Random picture of the day:
Mia is such a joy. She makes all my blues go away with this gorgeous smile. She's the sugar in my coffee, the bubbles in my bath, the jam in my jellyroll.

I'm it!

I was tagged by http://onein36million.wordpress.com (don't know how to put a name in place of the link!) to play this little game of tag. This is my 3rd attempt to do this with the first two attempts having been abandoned because of one thing or another. Fun!

This is a game of ‘tag’ played across blogs. There are a few rules.
Rules:
1. Link the person(s) who tagged you
2. Mention the rules on your blog
3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours…
4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them…
5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.

6 unspectacular quirks of mine:

1. I do not feel completely dressed unless I'm moisturized. I must be lotionified head to toe before I leave the house, and then I have lotions in the bathrooms, at the kitchen sink, and in my office desk to remoisturize after I've washed my hands. I won't touch paperwork at the office until I have properly made my digits tacky with lotion. The feeling of the paper slipping in my fingers gives me the willies.

2. I don't like chewing gum because I get cramps in my jaw and always feel like someone punched me in the mouth the next day. I have weak face muscles, I guess.

3. When my allergies are really bad I can squeeze the bridge of my nose and make snot drip out. Lovely, I know.

4. I can do 60 manly pushups straight. I'm She-ra like that.

5. I can made really tasty homemade bread. For real, family! I can bake real good sometimes! Don't believe, just ask John and Tiff.

6. I don't have pinky toenails. It's just skin, and yes, I still paint where the nail should be so my freakishness isn't so obvious.

Whew! Done, done, and 'twas fun.

Family Fundraising Fun

We were holed up at the Leo Palace Resort for this Tournament:

My Master's Soccer Team was paid to transport U-14 Soccer Teams and their staff around the resort for their games and such. John got to help and we were given a condo for the week which we shared with Kyung and her boys:

JB had tons of fun hanging out with Ricky, Samuel, and all the other Master's kiddies. This is his game face: Mia showing some interest in the art of hairstyling. Poor JB's scalp was in pain from her rough handling:
This is how they passed quite a bit of time:
I can never get used to the whole pig at the fiesta:

That's what Team Camacho did for the past week. We drove around naughty, sometimes smelly kids and hung out in a super cool condo. It was a stressful time having to be oncall around the clock, but it's a good chunk of money that will go to our fundraising efforts for our Australia Master's Games in 2009. The kids went to bed late, slept in, and ate like they were on vacation. We were well fed (gained two pounds!) and met some really cool people from all around the East Asian Football community. I can get used to being involved at the coaching and reffing level of soccer seeing how much fun they have in other countries. The people that came here had a ton of fun.
