We had another fundraiser/sport awareness function this past Saturday. All the sports available on Guam were displayed at the GW Soccerfield for the island to enjoy. At our tent we played this cool game of Volleysoccer! Pretty neat. The participants from other sports even came by to play or just shoot on the goal we set up complete with goalkeepers. Fun for all, especially Tiff, JB, and Mia who joined me to just run around and go nuts. JB and Mia loved the tent next to us that was set up for little kids. They had a trampoline, an obstacle course, hula hoops, jump ropes, and bubbles!
Volleysoccer, a combination of volleyball, and soccer... duh!
JB showing is mad hula hoop skills. Kid you not, he's good. That's Mia in the back jumping and singing "Oh hot damn, this is my jam..." by Flo Rida. You'd think they'd play kid friendly songs it being a kids' event!
Boy's got mad jump roping skills too. Athlete just like his Mama.
Mia's turn on the hula hoop. Promising, but she preferred the bubbles and trampoline.
Oh, this girl is just so mungi! I want to bite her all the time. Who's she look like here? Me? John? She's got a little sass in her walk mixed in with a little matapang in her facial expression. Must be me.
Tiff helping out with the event, demonstrating her soccer skills because she's got lots. I'm wondering if the boys from the martial arts tents were really there to play volleysoccer, or just check out Tiff because she's cute.
Precious. Mia didn't like Kyung from about 10 months old til about 2 months ago all because Kyung took some of her goldfish crackers. This summer they have bonded from the many hours we've spent with the Quans managing soccer functions. She realized that if she wanted to be held and loved on, if Mama's hands were full, she needed to look elsewhere. She finally relented and gave "Kam" (that's what she calls Miss Kyung) a try and liked her! Now if she puts her arms up to me and I can't take her, she goes right to "Kam". Kyung loves it.
Just a cutsie one of JB trying to carry Mia and comfort her. She was unhappy about something and JB just scooped her up. Poor guy's legs were quivering from the weight of her, but he held her and loved her til she was all better. So sweet! Isn't he handsome? I can't figure out who he resembles here. Love these kids!
That was this past weekend. My Master's team is 3-0 so far in our 7-a-side league. We're kicking butt (knock on wood), and we're having so much fun doing it. JB's getting ready for school. He's got a hair cut, some nice jeans, and big boy underwear without movie characters on them. He'll be starting on the 12th so we're working on getting a routine down. That's hard because unless we all go to bed early, it's hard to get the little ones down. I must be firm! I'm trying to fatten him up too because it's always the first couple months of the new year that all the sickies go around school. I'm stuffing him with pizza rolls and pasta, which are about the only two things he eats large amounts of.
As always, we love and miss you all a super plenty.
